countryside. Dating from the 11th century the castle survived a number
of sieges until it was captured by the Roundheads in 1646. It was then

The village of Groby is situated in north-west Leicestershire in the
heart of the English countryside. Nearby Groby Pool is a haven for
wildlife and has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific
Interest (SSSI) by the UK government.

Most of these pictures were taken doing a tour of London on the BIG BUS
on the day the Queen Mother was buried (5 April 2002), notice the flags
at half-mast. The ticket includes three bus routes, plus a Thames
cruise. You can hop on and off, the buses run about every 15 minutes. It
costs £15/day ($21).
