My second visit (in total four) to Fiji (map) was from the 1st of August
2000 to the 5th of September 2000. During this visit I looked up old
friends again.

Fiji is a beautiful place but often only used as a 2 or 3 day stopover
on the way from Europe to New Zealand and Australia. Give yourself weeks
not days (months if you have the time) and explore it.

October 1999 to the 26th of February 2000. Apart from less than two
weeks of camping and sleeping in hostels, I always stayed with Fijian
families at home in both towns and villages.
