Japan Travel Photo Gallery by Colin Ryder
I had a wonderful time in Japan with my friend Eleanor. The weather
was exceptionally hot and humid, and without air conditioning in
most buildings, it was difficult to find refuge from the heat.

Japan is a chain of islands along the Asia stretching from eastern
Siberia down to Taiwan. The biggest cities, the highest mountains
and the oldest relics can be found on Japanese mainland, Honshu
Island.

Pictures and Travelogue of Japan
I visited Japan during December 1994 and January 1995, and later
again on a stop over in March 1998. I visited Tokyo and
surroundings, Nagoya, Kyoto. To me Japan is a land of never-ending
astonishment, and I felt like I was on another planet. I loved the
food, and I hated the high prices.
Pictures and Travelogue of Southern Japan
I visited in December 1999/January 2000. I managed to catch a flu
just as I was leaving home. When I landed some 15 hours later in
Osaka, I was hot with fever, and had to take refuge in one of those
ugly, tiny, expensive business hotels which are such a special
feature of Japan.

Tokyo (lit. eastern capital) is the capital and largest city of
Japan, and the most populous metropolitan area in the world. A
little more than 12 million people live in the city while hundreds
of thousands of others commute everyday from surrounding areas to
work and do business in the city.
