I had a wonderful time in Japan with my friend Eleanor. The weather was exceptionally hot and humid, and without air conditioning in most buildings, it was difficult to find refuge from the heat.

Pictures and Travelogue of Japan
I visited Japan during December 1994 and January 1995, and later again on a stop over in March 1998. I visited Tokyo and surroundings, Nagoya, Kyoto. To me Japan is a land of never-ending astonishment, and I felt like I was on another planet. I loved the food, and I hated the high prices.

Pictures and Travelogue of Southern Japan
I visited in December 1999/January 2000. I managed to catch a flu just as I was leaving home. When I landed some 15 hours later in Osaka, I was hot with fever, and had to take refuge in one of those ugly, tiny, expensive business hotels which are such a special feature of Japan.
