Angkor Wat is an enormous complex of temples in Cambodia, built by
the Khmer empire between the 9th and 14th centuries. When that
empire faded, the temples were abandoned to the jungle. In more
recent times, archeologists have been working to understand and
restore the structures here, but my favorite places are the ones
where you can still see the jungle trying to reclaim the stonework.
